However, we always tailor our service to your needs, so if there is one area that is not required, we will modify our arrangement accordingly.

 

Whatever we agree is necessary, we will give you a bespoke fixed monthly price inclusive of everything, including meetings, travel and expenses. This means you can rest assured our fees won’t change, even if you have to use us more in certain months.

Solutions 4 Evolution was founded by David Buxton to help entrepreneurs like you taste success with their hospitality business.

It’s a service underpinned by more than three decades working in the hospitality sector which includes running our own 10+ site pub company, working in senior financial roles, and founding Open Administration Systems Limited (OAsys) as an outsourced accounting function to businesses in the sector.

 

This has led to David working with national chains such as Las Iguanas and Turtle Bay, single city successes like Ping Pong Dim Sum, one site wonders including The Bull in Totnes and TV personalities like Giorgio Locatelli.

With an easy style, vast experience and meticulous attention to detail, David now works with the hospitality smash hits of tomorrow like Rum Kitchen through Solutions 4 Evolution. The model can and does work for other sectors which share similarities with hospitality, including care homes, support services, building contractors and distribution businesses.

We are proudly non-corporate, delivering our service in a down-to-earth, personable way. Many of the people we have worked with have a great energy and vision, but are daunted by the financial and operational aspects of their business (initially, at least). We work with you reassuringly, interpreting the numbers and being a calm, knowledgeable and well-connected presence in your business – a resource to turn to when you need an answer.

We are set up to provide ongoing support to hospitality businesses, and our clients see a huge value in using us on a monthly retainer. However, where we are confident we can help in the shorter term, we are happy to work on an ad hoc project basis for you, if you prefer. In this scenario, we will provide you with a fixed up-front cost, which we promise not to exceed, to give you clarity and confidence in our pricing. Then you can choose whether to move on after the successful conclusion of the project, or retain us for the longer term.

We most typically start working with SME businesses, which includes clients at a pre-start-up phase to clients with an already established business that maybe span several sites. We are pleased to say that some of our clients have gone on to become much larger businesses with a national presence.

We have a strong background in accountancy and bookkeeping and perform this role for many of our clients, in addition to acting as an outsourced finance director when required. If you have an existing finance function in place, we are more than happy to work alongside them, tailoring our service as required.

Yes, this is often a key part of our service. We can both provide the financial modelling and business plan to give you credibility in the eyes of lenders and investors, and use our extensive network of connections to link you with the most appropriate solutions. These include banks, alternative lenders and various types of investor.
